I did it today.
I locked my un-focused eyes upon the wind,
Seeing it's unaltered beauty,
It's vast push,
A presence emanating from an opened window,
against but never through my open eyes,

I had to stop myself from losing that moment,
and as I stood staring in silence,
the invisible brushing against me,
Grey clouds looming and uncaring cars passing by,
I thought,
"How lucky a moment this single second could be?"
That for a man,
no,
For a child of the earth to see the gift of the wind,
without seeing anything at all.

And as soon as that moment came it was gone,
The window opened and the door slammed,
Pressure begetting Pressure,
and in my simple loss of focus I lost the wind,
Gone today to touch another soul,
leaving my world in utter silence once more,
but not without leaving it's mark in my mind.

They say that a man cannot lay his gaze upon the wind.
Looks like I just proved them wrong.
this is what happens when I open my window on a windy day.

I like this. I thought it was deep, and I like the wistful tone it had.
